MISSOURI TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING STATE MEETING
AUGUST 28, 2006
Members present: Barbara Johnson, Ted Johnson, Angela Jones, Connie

STATE GOALS
1. Judges should try to upgrade their levels
2. Offer a level 1 coaches course
3. Better marketing of our sport through our own clubs and other
gymnastics clubs
4. Mentor new clubs and those hosting their first competitions
4. Add 1-2 new competing clubs
5. Provide athlete funding for Junior & Senior athletes in World
Competitions
6. Host a business symposium for club owners
7. Raise funds for regional judges

POLICIES
1. The state will follow USAG T&T Code of Points for the following:
A. Athlete & coaches’ attire
B. Judges dress code
C. Judges’ pay
D. Competition rules and mobility
E. State board’s vote will be by secret ballot
F. Mobility forms – beginning at level 8, the state director will
track mobility for each athlete
G. USAG membership list – each club will be required to turn in a
current and updated athlete, coach, and judge list to the state
director before the 1st meet of the season.
2. Election procedures will follow Regional & National guidelines -
collect nominations, vote by secret ballot, votes counted by an
unbiased individual, results announced by mail, email, or meeting
3. Clubs must pay state membership fees before being allowed to vote
or receive any information being sent out by the state. Proposal:
Leave the membership fee $50.00 for new clubs and $25.00 for current
clubs.

4. Athlete funding
Proposal: Support USA team members from Missouri at International
competitions. Forms will be available to request funding for the
team members.

Proposal: Missouri Board of Directors will determine amount each
athlete receives per International assignment.

5. Competition Awards
Eligibility meet awards are the choice of the host team. Flight
awards will be given after each flight. Top 3 overall awards will be
presented for more than one flight. State Championship awards will
be medals for 1st-3rd (supplied by A1 Awards), ribbons 4th-10th, and
a team trophy will be presented for each level of each discipline.
Proposal: Keep competition awards the same as last year.

6. Meet admission
Proposal: Keep admission at $5.00 per person for ages 5 & up; 4 and
under free

7. Judges Penalties
Proposal: Each team is required to provide a judge for each
discipline they are entered. There will be a $30.00 penalty per
discipline for not supplying judges. A separate check will be made
out to MO T&T Assoc. and mailed directly to the state director. New
clubs in their first year of competition will not be charged a
penalty.

8. Meet entry fees
Entry fees for eligibility meets will be $30.00 for the 1st event
and $5.00 for each additional event (max $45.00 for four events).
Entry fees for State Championship will be $50.00 for the 1st event
and $5.00 for each additional event (max $65.00 for four events).
Proposal: Keep fees same as last year.

9. Entry fee surcharge
Meet director will pay Missouri T&T Assoc. $7.00 per athlete ($6.00
for judges’ pay and $1.00 for athlete assistance) and will pay USAG
directly $1.00 per athlete to the scholarship fund.
Proposal: Keep surcharge same as last year.

10. Meet information
Propasal: Meet information must be sent out 45 days before the date
of the meet. Facility dimensions, exact equipment, and any obstacles
must be listed. Training session for levels 10 & up must be provided
the night before (6-7pm if possible) and each team must provide
their own spotters. Score sheets must be copied and mailed to the
State Director within 48 hours of competition.

11. Meet registration
Proposal: Connie Fortner will create a uniform athlete, coach, and
judges registration form and will email it to all the clubs.

12. Meet schedule preparation
Connie Fortner will prepare meet schedules at a cost of $0.75 per
athlete entered and entry fees for her child. If you do not have
Connie prepare your schedule, you must include in your meet
information who is doing the schedule. (Additional offer – Connie
will prepare your schedule, fax it out to all clubs, awards count,
fill out all score sheets, make a master flight list for the line up
people, and 2 day express all of the above to you by the Monday
before your meet. She will do all the paperwork for your meet for
$3.25 per athlete.)

13. Meet levels
Proposal: TU-levels 1-Elite; TR-levels 1-Elite; DMT-levels 5-Elite;
Synchro levels 10-Elite. You may offer level 9 synchro at your meet
if you include it in your meet information.

14. Level 4B Tumbling
Proposal: Keep Level 4B tumbling- power round off, 1 back handspring
and power round off 2 back handsprings. This level is not provided
at regional or national levels.

15. Equipment requirements
Proposal: Equipment must meet the USAG code of points. Throw-in mats
for each trampoline and double mini trampoline, and sting mats for
tumbling and double mini trampoline must be provided. The tumbling
floor must have the side lines marked according to the code of
points.

15. State Championship Competition
Proposal: The state board and member clubs will host the Missouri
State Championship Competition. The State Championships will be held
at the Leggitt & Platt Center at MSSU in Joplin, MO each year.
The state director will act as the meet director for the State
Championships and will be paid $500.00 plus mileage and hotel
expenses. Volunteers will receive free admission to the meet.

16. State Newsletter
Proposal: A quarterly newsletter with information about the state of
Missouri T & T will be mailed to all clubs and potential clubs.

17. State Web Site
Proposal: Set up website listing each Missouri club, results, news,
etc. Cost to purchase domain name $450.00 with monthly maintenance
